The Incorrigible Blog Tour is over, but is anything ever really over on the Internet? I think we all know the answer! In case you missed it, here's a quick roundup of my guest posts for the blog tour. Each one was inspired by a different saying of Agatha Swanburne. Prepare to swallow some pithy nuggets of wisdom!

As Agatha Swanburne once said… |
"It is easier to change one’s boots than to change one’s mind, but it is far easier to change one’s mind about whether or not to wear boots than it is to change the weather." |
“A busy mind is a cheerful mind." |
"Whatever will do in a pinch, will do." |
"New boots never fit as well as the old." |
“Sometimes there’s nothing more to be done but have a cup of tea and sit and wait for the post.” |
"Trust whom you like, but rely on yourself.” |
“Busy hands and idle minds have knitted many a sweater; busy minds and idle hands have knitted many a brow.” |
"If you want fresh ideas in your head, get some fresh mud on your boots.’' |
"Many are happy to give advice; few are happy to take it.” |
And—as a special addition to the Incorrigible blog tour, I also was pleased to contribute to the International Reading Association’s wonderful “Teacher to Teacher” blog. Here’s my post on teaching and learning, and my thoughts on what Miss Penelope Lumley and the Incorrigible children have taught me.
Many thanks to all the great bloggers who hosted the tour, and all the readers who followed.
